On Saturday, Feb. 13, 39 Girl Scouts from Merrill and the surrounding area celebrated the 27th anniversary of the “Love-a-Pet” event at the Maplecreek Dog Training Center with birds of prey, dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits. The girls heard presentations on dog training and agility, a talk from the Raptor Education Group, as well as information from a veterinarian. At this annual event, Girl Scouts are invited to bring donations for the Lincoln County Humane Society.
