It was a tough meet for Merrill tennis, as the swingers and netters fell to SPASH with a final score of 7-0. Almost all of the sets ended in shutout losses for Merrill.
For the singles, Emily Luetschwager of SPASH defeated Katie Nelson, 6-0, 6-0; Sabrina Tang of SPASH defeated Lea Beckman, 6-0, 6-0; Kayla Stutesman of SPASH defeated Rachel Rell, 6-0, 6-0 and Leah Olsen of SPASH defeated Sierra Severt, 6-0, 6-0.
For the doubles, Suzie DeBot & Emily Meier of SPASH defeated Cate Murray & Allison Winter-Reed, 6-1, 6-1; Madison DeBot & Taylor Konczal of SPASH defeated Sierra Humphrey & Olivia Wheat, 6-2, 6-0 and Lillie James & Kaylee Bruneau of SPASH defeated Haili Schult & Casie McAllister, 6-0, 6-0.
Merrill varsity tennis will have their next meet at home on Tuesday, 4:00 p.m. against Wisconsin Rapids-Lincoln.
