Margaret M. Koruc

Margaret M. Koruc, age 90, of Merrill, died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Pine Crest Nursing Home.
Margaret was born September 10, 1924, in Merrill, daughter of the late William and Clara Sprafke. She married Matthew Koruc on July 14, 1945, in Lublin, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1986. Margaret and Matthew had farmed in rural Withee, Wisconsin until October of 1957. They then moved to Merrill and Margaret became a homemaker. She had worked briefly at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory, Merrill, and had also worked in several bakeries in the area. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting and sewing, and raising flowers.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Annette ‘Nettie’ (Kevin) Bennetts of Antigo, and Kenneth (Geri) Guite of Ohio; three great grandchildren, Heather Jaeger of Hatley, and Jessica Jaeger and Tami (Josh) Wienke, both of Merrill; two step great grandchildren, Brittany and Justin Bennetts, both of Michigan; and five great great grandchildren, McKenzie, Macy, Morgan, Rylee, and Mylee. Besides her husband and parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her daughter, Rose Ann Koruc; a granddaughter, Lauretta Grell Guite; and four siblings, Samuel, Joan, Esther, and Betty.
The funeral will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Pastor Brad Main will officiate. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
